Ski Trip 2010 update

The great weather and snow conditions continued all week until finally breaking last night. Six inches of snow overnight meant skiing conditions today have been very challenging. The students have all responded magnificently skiing all day with staff, finishing off at on piste restaurant and an order for 60 hot chocolates.

On Wednesday the whole group skied with their ski instructors on a tour of the Milky Way. They stopped for lunch in Sauze D’oux, Italy. A long day skiing, a lot of miles covered, and a great experience.

Thursday was the last instruction day with the French Ski School and the students were all graded by their instructors. in the evening it was Bum Boarding and a lot of fun.

Tonight it is the Ski School presentation followed by Ice Skating and packing. We are due to be picked up midday tomorrow for our transfer to Turin and our return flight back to Prestwick.

Back to school on Monday, a few sore limbs and lots of stories to tell.

Au revoir de Mongenevre

Ski Trip 2010

We have finally arrived in Mongenevre, France for this years ski trip involving 60 pupils and 8 staff. Our Ryanair flight out from Prestwick to Turin went well. We arrived in the hotel just after 7.00pm just in time for dinner and a late ski fit session to make sure everyone was ready to ski on Sunday morning.

The first 2 days skiing have been excellent, great snow conditions and bright blue skies. Everyone enjoying the experience, the French Ski School instructors have already been praising our students for their skiing ability and also their behavior.

Last night we walked to Italy for a Pizza, very nice.

A few aches, pains and tired limbs about but nothing serious. Everyone in high spirits and looking forward to the rest of the trip.

Au revoir de Montgenevre.
